HELLBOUND: HELLRAISER II

Dir. Tony Randel  |  UK  |  1988  |  97 mins  |  35th Anniversary screening

Fresh from the utter hell she experienced at the hands of her evil stepmother and skinless uncle, things are only getting worse for Kirsty (Ashley Laurence). Nobody believes her version of events, and she’s been committed to an asylum, under the watchful eye of the sinister Doctor Channard (Kenneth Cranham). Instead of recovering from her mental anguish, Kirsty is haunted by terrifying visions of Pinhead and his hellish gang of Cenobites – and worse still, they’re closer than Kirsty could ever dare to imagine. Doctor Channard has been searching for his own portal to hell, and after hearing Kirsty’s story, he seeks to summon the Cenobites for his own sick gains, using his patient Tiffany (Imogen Boorman) to solve the notorious puzzle box. A newly resurrected Julia joins Channard in his nefarious pursuit, and together, the pair set about unleashing the forces of the evil. Kirsty, with the help of Tiffany, must risk everything to stop the pair from carrying out their depraved plan, and banish the Cenobites back to hell once and for all.

Pinhead and his pals return in this dazzlingly depraved, no holds barred sequel to 1987’s HELLRAISER. A downright unhinged follow-up to the original, HELLBOUND: HELLRAISER II delivers all the gruesome carnage and exquisite suffering you’d expect from within the Lament Configuration, tracking a terrifying descent into depths of hell that HELLRAISER barely scratched the surface of. With a nightmarish, gothic aesthetic and sprawling, macabre worldbuilding, prepare to plunge into a hopeless eternity of unspeakable pain and torture. The doctor will see you now…

To celebrate Arrow Video's upcoming 4K release, we are delighted to bring HELLBOUND: HELLRAISER II back to the big screen, followed by a Q&A and signing with stars Nicholas Vince and Simon Bamford.
