Young couple Tina and Ben are YouTubers specialising in urban exploration videos. Intent on building their online following and increasing their subscriber base, they embark upon a trip to a remote French lake which harbours an intriguing secret beneath its surface: a perfectly-preserved house that has been submerged in its deep waters. As they begin their dive to explore the underwater dwelling, they navigate their way through the many obstacles and hazards that exist throughout the decaying structure and slowly discover the truth about its previous occupants and the atrocities that took place there. They soon find that they are trapped, low on oxygen and worst of all… they are not alone.

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water… Welcome to the 85-minute panic attack that is THE DEEP HOUSE, from masters of French horror Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury. There may not be any sharks to worry about here, but with a significant proportion of its running time taking place submerged underwater, this claustrophobic, nerve-shredding piece of cinema is sure to make you want to keep your feet firmly on dry land for the foreseeable future.
